Discover simple, accessible, and effective tools to develop self-care skills in a relaxed, real, and encouraging space. Each class begins with a lesson to introduce the theme and the tool we will be using that day followed by a guided practice. These experiential classes give you the opportunity to integrate what resonates for you to use in your daily life.

Classes take place on Wednesday evenings in the comfort of of your own home over Zoom. Before class, registrants will receive an email with a Zoom link to simply click + join us online. Please be sure to include your email when you register.

May 12 | Nurturing your Relationship with Money with EFT Tapping

I didn’t know how I was going to make rent and buy groceries when I quit my job to do my business full time. With the crushing anxiety I had about money, I figured tapping on my face and repeating statements out loud to myself probably couldn't hurt, so I tried the practice. Within weeks, money started rolling in and I felt more calm and capable of making more- and I did! With EFT, I completely transformed my relationship with money! EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is an exercise where we tap on acupressure points while addressing stressful or painful thoughts. This exercise can create a powerful sense of calm and ease, and may significantly reduce the intensity of pain, anxiety, or stress. 

May 19 | Addressing Anger and Feeling Fear with Mindfulness

When I quit using mindfulness to ignore, shush, and get rid of intense emotions like anger and fear, it was a game changer. I started using it to face these emotions, just as I would a young child who's afraid of the dark. Shouting, "knock it off, there's nothing to be afraid of" doesn't work. When I am curious and I listen to what my fear is telling me, I can give myself the comfort I need- like providing the scared child with a nightlight. Mindfulness is the state of being conscious or aware of something. When we set aside our expectations and "shoulds" to fully experience this present moment, the silence allows us to hear the messages of our heart. We can then be curious about what we are experiencing to bring us clarity, whereas why invites the mind to tell a story that separates of from being in the present moment.

May 26 | Facing Insomnia with Yoga Nidra

There is nothing worse than those sleepless nights. Yoga Nidra is my go-to. If you've ever experienced that deep relaxation at the end of a yoga class or perhaps even fallen asleep during, that's exactly what Yoga Nidra is like, except movement is not required first. It's a practice of non sleep deep relaxation that helps relieve stress and prepare the body for sleep. With this practice, you receive the benefits of rest without actually sleeping. As a matter of fact, just one 30 minute practice is equivalent to 2 hours of deep sleep. 

June 2 | Expectations and Boundaries with The Work of Byron Katie

Setting boundaries didn't come naturally for me. I found myself trying to always be available to others. In applying The Work of Byron Katie, I realized the expectations I was putting on myself was a reflection of the expectations I was putting on others. With that clarity, setting boundaries became easy. This work is powerful! The principles are based on a simple process of writing down stressful thoughts and questioning if they are true. Every time we inquire about the truth of our thoughts, we invoke an opportunity to wake up to reality.

June 9 | Permission for Peace in Chaos with Mindfulness + Essential Oils

Being in the present moment has taught me to separate the big picture from the current experience. When my mind is spiralling with the uncertainty in the world for instance, I smell an essential oil to reconnect with my breath, and with the present moment where I don't need to "deal with" or "tackle" the uncertainty that is causing me worry. There is a time for that. But in this moment, I choose peace. When we set aside our worries and expectations to fully experience this present moment, the silence allows us to return to peace. 

June 16 | Forgiving Ourselves and Others with Ho'oponopono

This is such a powerful practice of compassion for ourselves and others. Love is forgiving so we don't have to be. When I practice love, it does the forgiving for me and I realize that we are all connected. By forgiving others, I forgive myself, and I am free. Rooted in Hawaiian tradition, this practice consists of 4 statements: I'm sorry. Please forgive me. Thank you. I love you. These simple yet powerful statements are a personal practice and as such, do not require you to say them to another. You can simply hold the person in your thoughts as you say these words.
