About ten years ago, I attended a mindfulness workshop with Kelly at the Vancouver Yoga Conference. This practice allows us to clear the mind, improve memory centers, and bring about more clarity and focus. Research has shown this simple practice of hand movements and chanting improves cognitive function and can prevent and slow down alzheimers. Being stuck in this loop can bring up feelings of shame plunging us further into negative thinking. But it really and truly is not our fault. In this class, I will explain why the chances of you making a conscious choice when surrounded by what you’re addicted to are so slim and what you can do about it.
